Corundum white F180
White corundum is a high purity mineral abrasive with excellent properties and a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, ideal for repeated use in pressure or injector booths. It is suitable for sandblasting stainless steel, glass or ceramics.
White corundum is a high quality, hard, sharp-edged abrasive containing minimal free iron. It is therefore also suitable for blasting and grinding stainless steel. It is used for coarse blasting as well as for fine surface finishing. The resulting appearance of the blasted surface is matt.
During sandblasting there is minimal abrasion of the blasted material.
White corundum properties:
- High hardness
- Low iron content (Fe2O3)
- Resistance to blasting over hundreds of repetitive cycles
- Minimal blasting losses compared to other conventional materials
Use of white corundum:
- Surface treatment of stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, glass and ceramics
- Unifying surfaces and removing burrs
- Cleaning aluminium and stainless steel surfaces
- Engraving (engraving into materials, creating labels and symbols)
- Blasting before anodising
